Custom Design

With the information gathered from the site visit, our in-house design team will create computer-generated 3D models showing different options for you to choose from.

We’ll take into account functional considerations like the width of passageways and load-bearing requirements. And we’ll ensure the style complements your home’s architecture and the surrounding environment.

This collaborative process lets you see visualizations of the trellis or arbor before construction begins. We can make revisions until the design is exactly what you envisioned.

Material Selection

Next we’ll help you select appropriate materials that are durable and well-suited for outdoor use in Colorado’s climate.

Some common options include:

• Cedar – Naturally rot-resistant softwood that can be left to weather naturally or stained/sealed. Cedar has a distinctive smell and attractive grain.
• Redwood – Another rot-resistant softwood that’s exceptionally strong and stable. It has a textured grain pattern.
• Laminated wood – Layers of wood glued and pressed together for added strength. Good for larger spans.
• Vinyl or PVC – Requires no maintenance and won’t rot. More limited in styles and often not as robust.
• Metal – Wrought iron, aluminum and steel won’t decay. It can feel cold in winter.
• Brick/stone – Provides a traditional, formal look. Substantial weight requires a sturdy foundation.

The style, size and location will determine the optimal materials. We’ll make recommendations that align with your priorities like budget, durability, aesthetics and ease of maintenance.

Construction

Once permits are secured, our crew will start construction at your home. We take special care to minimize any disruption to your property. The onsite foreman will keep you updated on progress and discuss any unexpected issues if they arise.

Our artisans employ time-honored carpentry techniques refined by years of experience. We use advanced tools and machinery combined with old-world craftsmanship. The result is a hand-built trellis or arbor constructed to the highest of standards.

Throughout the process, we follow best practices for safety, cleanliness, and protecting your yard. You can relax knowing we have insurance and bonded employees. We won’t accept payment until you’re 100% satisfied.

Follow-up Service

We want you to enjoy your trellis or arbor for many years. After completion, we’ll do a final walkthrough to address any remaining questions. And we provide ongoing maintenance if needed – clearing debris, checking structural integrity, applying protective finishes, etc.
